Day 1 – Chandigarh to Narkanda (7-8 hrs)

Arrive in Chandigarh and head towards Narkanda. Take appropriate breaks on the way and enjoy the beauty as you leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind. View the lush green valleys and apple orchards on both sides of the road. Stay in the midst of nowhere in Narkanda.

 

Day 2 – Narkanda to Sangla via Hatu Peak & Temple (7-8 hrs)

Have a nice breakfast with a view of the mountains and head to Sangla via Rampur.  Before heading out of Narkanda, visit the famous Hatu Temple and Hatu Peak. You can see 180º views of the surroundings from Hatu Peak. As you head towards Sangla you shall meet the Sutlej river at Sainj and from there on it will be with you till Kalpa. Sangla is one of the most beautiful valleys in India. We recommend a walk to Baspa river from your hotel.

 

Day 3 – Sangla to Chitkul via Racham and back (2-3 hrs)

Go for an early morning walk to Basteri village from your hotel if you are up for it. Batseri is a beautiful, rustic village with traditional local architecture worth exploring. After the Batseri Village on the route to Chitkul, your final destination for the day is Rakcham, a picturesque village in Sangla valley known for its pink fields of buckwheat.  Spend some time taking photographs before we head to Chitkul-  the last village on the Indo-Tibet border. Reach and relax, you can explore the village and spend some time with the locals before heading back to Sangla.

 

Day 4 – Sangla to Kalpa via Reckong Peo and Roghi (3-4 hrs)

A short drive today from Sangla to Kalpa. On your way we stop Kamru Fort in Sangla. Kamru fort famous for its local tower like structure is famous for housing 33 CR gods and goddesses and also has a shrine for goddess Kamakhya Devi brought all the way from Assam. The next stop is Reckong Peo which is the headquarters of Kinnaur district. It is a buzzing town full of shops and a market for you to pick up souvenirs and have lunch. The next stop is Roghi village and the famous suicide point at Roghi which has become a popular tourist attraction for its views and Instagram worthy pictures. Reach Kalpa and rest. You can go for a village walk in the evening and visit the local monastery and temple in Kalpa.

 

Day 5 – Kalpa to Sarahan (5-6 hrs)

Have a leisure breakfast before you head fo Sarahan today. On your way you can stop at Tapri for some local lunch at a dhaba. Enjoy the drive to Sarahan as you move across the famous apple belt of Himachal. Sarahan is a small village famous for the Bimakali temple- the kuldevi of the Bushahr kingdom and is visited by hundreds of devotees every year.  Sarahan used to be the summer capital of The Bushahr kingdom and houses the kings and queens palace next to the temple.

 

Day 6 – Sarahan to Chail via Kufri (5-6 hrs)

Leave for Chail this morning and on your way make a stop at Kufri. Kufri is famous for its Amusement park which has the world highest go-kart track, the Chini bungalow which is famous for its statues and architecture and the Kufri zoo. You can spend your day in Kufri before heading for Chail. Chail is known for the famous cricket ground, Chair Palace and for its bird sanctuary. Stop by for a visit before you head to your hotel.

 

Day 7 – Chail to Chandigarh drop (4-5 hrs)

Head back to Chandigarh this morning after breakfast and catch your flight back home. Trip ends today.
